Genifer Y. Chavez MD, JD, MPH, MA

Dr. Chavez is the Medical Director of Chavez Medical Group, LLC
(dba After Hours Aesthetics), located in Tucson, Arizona.  She is internationally known as a specialist in Women’s Health, Preventive Medicine, and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Recently, she expanded her scope of practice to include exciting new "medical aesthetic" procedures, and received her advanced training from world-renowned dermatologist, Dr. Arnold W. Klein MD, who maintains a full-time practice in Beverly Hills, CA.  

After receiving her medical degree from the University of Colorado in 1985, Dr. Chavez went on to become a doctor of jurisprudence  in 1990. She is a member of a small, elite group of people in the United States that hold both a medical degree and a law degree. Dr. Chavez’s dedication to learning and serving both her patients’ and public health needs led her to pursue a preventive medicine residency at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine and to earn a masters degree (MPH) in public health in 1994.  

Dr. Chavez has been a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine, and a professional member of the American College of Legal Medicine Board of Governors, the American College of Preventive Medicine, the Pima County Medical Society and the Executive Women’s Council. She has also spoken at a number of medical conferences over the years.
